Community Involvement
Westbrook Police Department is a community policing oriented department, and we are proud to be part of our community. The following are examples of how we interact with the Westbrook community.
National Night Out Events
National Night Out is a yearly event held outside our Community Policing Center on Brown Street. It gives us the opportunity to interact with the community and enjoy some grilled food and ice cream.
Brave the Shave Fundraiser
Westbrook Police Officers held a Brave the Shave fundraiser for St. Baldrick's Foundation, to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Law Enforcement employees, including many of our females, shaved their heads for the fundraiser. Over $24,000 was raised!
911 Elementary School Presentation
Officers and dispatchers give presentations to elementary school students on how to properly use 911. Students also receive a magnet to bring home to remind them of how to properly use 911.
