Elected Officials

Overview

The City of Westbrook is divided into five Wards, each of which has a designated City Councilor, School Committee Member, Warden and Ward Clerk. In addition to this, we have several municipal officials who represent the City as a whole, including the Mayor, two At-Large City Councilors and two At-Large School Committee Members. Each of these positions has a 3-year term.

The State of Maine's Voter Information Lookup Service is a great resource to find your polling place and contact information for all of your elected representatives.

Running for Office

There are two ways to appear on the ballot as a candidate for municipal office, either by receiving a nomination by municipal caucus or by obtaining signatures of support from voters in the community via a Nomination Petition. Please note that party affiliations do not appear on municipal ballots.

The Westbrook Republican Party is scheduled to caucus on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at 7pm at the Westbrook Community Center.

The Westbrook Democratic Party is scheduled to caucus on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 6pm at the Westbrook Community Center.
