Elections & Voting
The City of Westbrook approximately 14,100 registered voters. Our municipality is divided into five Wards, two State Senate Districts (25 & 28) and two State Representative Districts (34 & 35). Each municipal Ward has a designated City Councilor and School Committee Member. In addition, the City Council and School Committee each have two "At-Large" positions tasked with representing the municipality as a whole.
Westbrook holds at least two elections every year, on the second Tuesday of June, and on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November.
The next election will be held on Tuesday November 3, 2020. We encourage you to consider voting absentee to slow the community spread of COVID-19 by reducing crowds at the polls on Election Day.
Westbrook has one polling location for in-person voting on Election Day - the Westbrook Community Center Gym, located at 426 Bridge Street. Absentee voting (also called "early voting" or sometimes "vote by mail") is a convenient alternative, allowing people to obtain and vote their ballots either by mail or at City Hall prior to Election Day.
